Summer of Serve began in 2014 with the goal of helping to solve the problem of blight in our community. That first year, we began mowing yards at vacant properties and doing trash cleanups in our neighborhood. Since then, God began to open doors for us to serve our community in a variety of ways by tearing down buildings, helping with painting projects, rebuilding porches, and so many others. In the past decade we've completed hundreds of projects with the help of a multitude of volunteers from our congregation and many other churches as well.
We're currently planning our projects for the upcoming season. If you feel called to help with Summer of Serve or if you have ideas for projects we can complete, you can sign up or find out more by filling out our contact form.
If you are not able to help with physical labor, we do have other ways you can serve.
In past years, we have had groups that served lunch to our volunteers throughout the day to bless those we are serving. Others operated a prayer station along the trail to simply show love to our friends and neighbors. We believe that everyone has a part to play in the Great Commission, so get creative, and join us on our mission to serve our community and introduce more people to God's amazing love.
